and this is just the beginning since the battery hasn't charged it will not be giving backup after you plug your laptop out.Well here's a quick fix for it follow these steps:
1.Go to Start > Run.
2.Type Devmgmt.msc and hit enter.The Device management window will appear up.

3.Click on the Batteries option to further expand the section now it will display a list of different batteries.
4.Then right click on Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method battery and click on the Uninstall option.
5.On the Device Manager Toolbar, click Scan for hardware changes .
Windows will now scan your computer for missing hardware drivers, and will install them.
Now the notebook will indicate that the battery is charging.
